As we shared last week, in this ‘How To’ video blog series, we’ll be discussing the ins and outs of parts inventorying within LucityAM. We’ll go over everything from record creation to toolkits, from work flows to system options.
If you missed it, be sure to check out Part 1, Work Material Setup. Work Materials are the conduit for integrating your parts inventory with work orders in LucityAM. A good understanding of this module will help create a foundation which we can build on once we get into learning how to create and use our parts inventory.
Before we can talk about using parts inventory in Lucity, we must first cover how the parts in our inventory are stored: Warehouses. Just like in real life, warehouses in Lucity represent the physical locations where parts reside. These physical locations can be anything – a building, a room, a row of shelves or even a utility truck are just some of the possibilities that could be considered a warehouse.
In this second video of our series, we’ll go over the important functionality inside of the warehouse module.
