We are pleased to announce some important moves to best address Lucity’s growth to date, and realize our optimistic outlook. New titles and refined responsibilities have been assigned to the following key personnel. Continue reading
I’ve been hearing the term “analytics” used more often within the context of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system functionality, and have paused to consider what it means to us and our client community. We know that EAM systems like LucityAM are “data hungry”, and we can satisfy those appetites by feeding them mounds of facts and figures. But then what? How are we to apply analytics to transform raw data into actionable intelligence on which we can confidently base important decisions? Continue reading
We’re often asked to provide a release history of the Lucity software. A complete timeline would stretch waaay back to 1986, when Version 1 was released as a collection of focused solutions for wastewater collection system asset management. Perhaps a more meaningful starting point would be 2000, when Version 6 offered a much more comprehensive suite of Public Works software solutions addressing the core functional areas of asset management, work management, inventory control, and GIS (Esri) integration. Even with that, the list of Lucity software releases would be very lengthy and include versions that have long been “retired”.
So what do we provide those asking for the release history? We offer this snapshot… Continue reading
People often ask what sets Lucity software apart in our marketplace. Although we recognize many advantages, topping the list is the expansive collection of Lucity Assets COTS software solutions. Expansive collection indeed – focused and integrated applications are available for utilities (Water, Electric, Sewer, Storm, Refuse & Recycling), transportation (Streets & Roads, Pavement, Bridges, Rights-of-Way, Signs, Signals, Street Lights, Traffic), green spaces (Parks, Trees), facilities (Plants, Facilities, Equipment), and fleet (Fleet).
What value do these solutions bring? Continue reading
Members of our client/partner community are hopefully well aware of the Lucity Annual Conference & Training (ACT), which (per our web site) is “a legendary event for education, networking and relationship-building”. In recent years we’ve supplemented ACT with Regional User Group (RUG) meetings at client sites across the US for the same purposes – education, networking and relationship-building. (Stay tuned for more details for RUG and ACT plans for 2015.) But there are many other Lucity networking and relationship-building opportunities to be aware of coming this year.
Lucity has consistently participated in “trade shows” that enable us to stay in close touch with our target market of US local government agencies and special districts. These shows keep us informed of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and other factors that affect the clients we serve. They also give us additional places and times to network and build relationships.
Current plans include our participation in the following shows throughout 2015:
- Esri Water Conference – February 10-12 in Portland, OR (Lucity is a Platinum Sponsor)
- WEF Collection Systems Conference – April 19-22 in Cincinnati, OH (Lucity is an exhibitor – Booth #TBD)
- APWA/NACE Expo & Conference – April 19-23 in Daytona Beach, FL (exhibitor – Booth 432)
- Esri Southeast User Conference – May 4-6 in Nashville, TN (exhibitor – Booth 301)
- AWWA Conference & Exposition – June 7-10 in Anaheim, CA (exhibit – Booth #TBD)
- Esri User Conference – July 20-24 in San Diego, CA (exhibitor – Booth 2200)
- APWA Congress & Exposition – August 30 – September 2 in Phoenix, AZ (exhibitor – Booth 358)
- WEFTEC – September 26-30 in Chicago, IL (Lucity is an exhibitor – Booth 1758)
If you and/or your colleagues are planning to attend any of these trade shows, let us know – we’ll identify who will be there from Lucity, and arrange an appointment to meet. We’ll show you the latest-and-greatest with Lucity software, answer questions, provide some pointers, and the like. Often our most productive “sessions” occur after-hours (when our crack staff members like to decompress and exercise their impressive socializing skills), so we’ll also let you know (via #LifeAtLucity on Twitter) where we’ll convene. Come join us – we’d love to see you in 2015!
In November 2014, Esri informed us that Lucity qualified for the Esri Partner Network (EPN) ArcGIS Online Specialty. The Specialty designation is for “those partners that have made ArcGIS Online an integral part of their business and want to increase their business around ArcGIS Online”.
Luke Savage (Lucity Customer Services Specialist) completed our successful qualification process efforts which included reviewing related Esri content, activating and configuring Lucity’s Online subscription, attending an Esri Best Practices Workshop, and sharing related Lucity customer success stories. We collaborate with our valued strategic business partners to extend the value of Lucity enterprise asset management software and service offerings available to our client community.
