Lucity Software – A Continuous Improvement Process

We’re often asked to provide a release history of the Lucity software. A complete timeline would stretch waaay back to 1986, when Version 1 was released as a collection of focused solutions for wastewater collection system asset management. Perhaps a more meaningful starting point would be 2000, when Version 6 offered a much more comprehensive suite of Public Works software solutions addressing the core functional areas of asset management, work management, inventory control, and GIS (Esri) integration. Even with that, the list of Lucity software releases would be very lengthy and include versions that have long been “retired”.

Lucity Encounters in 2015 >> Beyond ACT and RUGs

Members of our client/partner community are hopefully well aware of the Lucity Annual Conference & Training (ACT), which (per our web site) is “a legendary event for education, networking and relationship-building”. In recent years we’ve supplemented ACT with Regional User Group (RUG) meetings at client sites across the US for the same purposes – education, networking and relationship-building. (Stay tuned for more details for RUG and ACT plans for 2015.) But there are many other Lucity networking and relationship-building opportunities to be aware of coming this year.

Lucity has consistently participated in “trade shows” that enable us to stay in close touch with our target market of US local government agencies and special districts. These shows keep us informed of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and other factors that affect the clients we serve. They also give us additional places and times to network and build relationships.

Lucity Gains ArcGIS Online Specialty Designation

ArcGIS OnlineIn November 2014, Esri informed us that Lucity qualified for the Esri Partner Network (EPN) ArcGIS Online Specialty. The Specialty designation is for “those partners that have made ArcGIS Online an integral part of their business and want to increase their business around ArcGIS Online”.

Luke Savage (Lucity Customer Services Specialist) completed our successful qualification process efforts which included reviewing related Esri content, activating and configuring Lucity’s Online subscription, attending an Esri Best Practices Workshop, and sharing related Lucity customer success stories.
