We are pleased to announce that Lucity 2016r2 SP1 (Jan 2017) and Lucity 2017 (Feb 2017) will include built-in support for the latest Esri® ArcGIS 10.5 release!  10.5 is not your typical maintenance and quality improvement release.  There are some major changes included in 10.5 especially to ArcGIS for Server and named user levels.  Earlier versions of Lucity that fall under active maintenance can be upgraded to 10.5, but may require some additional steps as outlined in this knowledge base article.

Lucity Support for ArcGIS 10.4.1

A few weeks ago Esri® released ArcGIS 10.4.1.  This newest release was mostly a maintenance and quality improvement release.  We are pleased to announce that Lucity version 2016 fully supports ArcGIS version 10.4.1!  Older versions of Lucity that fall under active maintenance can be upgraded to 10.4.1, but may require some additional steps as outlined in this knowledge base article.  As mentioned in an earlier post, ArcGIS for Server 10.4 is not supported with any Lucity version.  If you were considering the upgrade to 10.4, you should instead upgrade to 10.4.1.

Feel free to contact a Lucity support representative for more details, or refer to the Lucity Support Center for updates to our ArcGIS version support.

To Infinity & Beyond! (Licensing Changes for Version 2016)

As you, our clients, can attest, at Lucity we love to implement your suggestions for improvements, enhancements and expansion ideas for our product line. We also work to continue to evolve with the ever-changing landscape of technology and the needs of future Lucity clients. Taking all that into account meant we were selling over forty (40!) different products with a single deployment option that made up the suite of Lucity software solutions. As you might imagine, not only does this get tough to administer, it also can get complex to explain to clients and prospects alike.

That said, in order to take us beyond infinity (instead of spiraling towards it at a rapid pace), we have arrived at the decision to greatly consolidate our packaging of the Lucity functionality into a concise product list as well as offer two (2) licensing models and two (2) deployment offerings. Lucity Mobile Android Version 1.8 Service Release

This week we released a service release (Build 20) for the Lucity Mobile Android app for tablets.  It resolves two key issues:

  • Dashboards which included quick lookup plugins configured to go offline failed to take Work Orders and Requests offline
  • Going offline with a secure service fails in certain configurations

The update can be downloaded from the Google Play store from your device. To enable updates automatically, open the Lucity Mobile 1.8 details page on Google Play on the device and check the box that says “Allow automatic updating.”
