We’ve had such a fantastic response to our new webinar series, Looking Into Lucity. Thanks to all who attended our sessions and to those who tuned in later to our YouTube channel. For those of you who were unable to attend, here are some links to get you caught up:
Lucity Account Executive Andrea Fowles presented “Taking a Closer Look: Timesheets.” This short how-to video can be viewed anytime here.
Last month also brought you our expert series “Focus On: Mobile Tablet for Android.” This 30 minute demo was presented by Lucity Developer Trey Wheeler, and can be viewed on our Lucity YouTube channel here.
Lucity President Don Pinkston gave us “What’s New” with a demonstration of Plant, a new module available in the upcoming Lucity 2014 release. This 15 minute demo with a Q & A can be reviewed here.
As a reminder, if you want to keep up with Lucity on your own time, our YouTube channel is a great way to stay informed with the latest software demos, videos, tours, and information about our events, such as ACT.
Here at Lucity, the notion of “giving back” is a very real concept. It’s something that everyone in the Lucity family shares – a common priority in life, as well as in work. As we move closer to the end of 2013, we’d like to shine a light on some of the other good work that we do – the work that helps those in need. From Don Pinkston’s commitment to give blood regularly in honor of his dad, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, to volunteering at Harvesters (our local food bank), we strive to find ways to help others.
This holiday season we’re able to “adopt” and provide Christmas gifts and groceries for 4 families – one family more than last year! Because 100% of the Lucity staff contributed to this annual cause, Lucity matched a dollar for every dollar given. It’s just another reason why working for Lucity is fulfilling in more ways than one.
Our partnership with Marian Hope Center continues to grow. We were happy to give the Center a financial contribution, as well as to donate some of the office furniture that didn’t come with us in the move this fall. Additional IT services provided by our IT Director, Brian Treff, gave the foundation a further boost.
The holidays are a perfect time for us to reflect on our gratitude. Not only are we thankful for our health and happiness, we continue to be thankful to our clients, and consider it a privilege to work side by side with such great people.
May your holiday season be filled with the spirit of giving – to those you love as well as to those in need.
As many of you may have heard, Lucity has officially moved! Our new residence – doubled in size from our old office – is on the “executive-level” first floor. The Lucity staff was fully involved with the layout and design of the new office, and the result is a brighter, modern, open space for us to do our best work. Our new space allows plenty of room for our growing staff, and includes a new training room, which can be utilized for client training or even Regional User Groups in the future.
If you missed our Open House last month, and would still like to check out our new digs, let us take you on a little tour!
For your records, our new address is 10561 Barkley, Suite 100, Overland Park, KS 66212
We’re so excited to announce that as of Monday, November 4th, our corporate headquarters will be making the loooooong move from the 5th floor of our building to the 1st floor!
Even though we’re not moving far, our office will still need to be closed during our transition. On Friday, November 1st our telephone system won’t be online, and our staff will be busy in our new space. We have, however, made arrangements so that your software support needs will be met. Our Support Team will be available remotely to respond to your requests if you call (913) 305-5530. They will also be receiving emails sent to email@example.com, and you’ll still have access to the Lucity Support Center (lucity.zendesk.com).
We hope you don’t notice any delays in response time, and we appreciate your patience. We’ll be back to normal in our new digs on Monday, November 4th. We’ll share some photos once we’re settled, and you’re always welcome to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood! And look for an invitation to an open house soon…we’d love to show you around.
For your records, our new address is 10561 Barkley, Suite 100, Overland Park, KS 66212.
Dates and locations are now set for 8 Regional User Groups (RUG) meetings that will convene in April, May and June across the US. You’ll find these meetings listed on our Events page on the Lucity web site, with hyperlinks for details and registration.
We know the value of connections, and look forward to helping agencies create and sustain productive relationships with other Lucity customers at a Region-level. To this end we have defined 9 Regions in which we coordinate with User Groups to facilitate communications, transfer knowledge, plan events, and address shared software and service needs. Click the map on the left to view the Regions, and determine in which your agency is located.
We are grateful for those User Groups that have been active in the past, and look forward to working with others to form and develop.
Click on the map on the right to view the RUG meeting locations, and also drill down for event-specific details by clicking on the Location symbols. If there is a meeting scheduled in your Region, we hope to see you and your colleagues there! If there is not yet a meeting set for your Region, let us know.
Would you believe we’re in the path of another massive snow storm? We are still digging out from the 10+ inches of snow we got last week, and they’re predicting at least that much more again! Chances are good our office will be closed again tomorrow so the Lucity team can work remotely and avoid the snowy commute.
We will still be available for support and ready to respond to your requests. The quickest lines of support while we’re out will be to send our Support Team an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or submit a ticket directly to our Help Desk (support.lucity.com/helpdesk).
The Kansas City metro area (including Overland Park) is bracing for what promises to be one of our area’s largest winter storms, scheduled to arrive in the early hours of Thursday morning. Rather than brave the roadways and sidewalks, the Lucity team will be working remotely, from the safety of their warm homes. We will still be available for support and ready to respond to your requests. The quickest lines of support while we’re out will be to send our Support Team an email at email@example.com or submit a ticket directly to our Help Desk (support.lucity.com/helpdesk).
If you’re in the path of these storms, stay safe and warm!
